Northeast Asphalt booth at Einstein Science fair is a hit - Once again, NEA hosted a booth at the annual Einstein Science Expo at Shopko Hall. Northeast Asphalt representatives were there to provide hands-on learning about the science of aggregates and hot mix asphalt. Attendees were able to learn about drilling, blasting and quarrying aggregates, and handle samples of the many types and grades of aggregate materials being used in Wisconsin road building. |

Warm Mix Asphalt: The wave of the future? - Warm-mix asphalt has the potential to allow the producers of hot-mix asphalt pavement material to lower the temperatures at which the material is mixed and placed on the road. Reductions of 50 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit have been documented. Such drastic reductions would have the obvious benefits of cutting fuel consumption and decreasing the production of greenhouse gases. |

Northeast Asphalt donates Quarry Park to Town of Lawrence - September 8th, 2007 marked the dedication of Quarry Park, which stands adjacent to Northeast Asphalt‘s Lawrence Quarry. This land was donated by NEA, improved and made into a park and recreation facility for the enjoyment of local residents. The dedication was marked with a day of community involvement, including quarry tours, a ribbon-cutting by local officials, and many fun family activities. |
