Asphalt pavement is flexible.
That means it will tend to follow the shape of the base and sub-base below it. Obviously, if the stone base is graded improperly, the pavement surface will not provide the desired ride quality. That is why Northeast Asphalt is equipped to do the final grading on its paving projects.
Most of NEA's grading equipment has electronic slope controls installed. This assures that the surface to be paved will have the right drainage characteristics. |
